Tyler Sorensen, DPM is a Fellowship-Trained Foot & Ankle Surgeon at Wisconsin River Orthopaedics, serving patients in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. He is board-qualified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Sorensen completed his medical degree at Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.He then completed his residency in foot and ankle surgery at Regions Hospital, the Level I Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Afterward, he pursued a fellowship
in advanced foot and ankle reconstruction at the Weil Foot & Ankle Institute in Chicago, Illinois.

He is a member of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association and Wisconsin Podiatric Medical Association.

As a former collegiate hockey player, the most enjoyable aspect about orthopaedics for Dr. Sorensen is the joy his patient’s experience when they get back to the activities and lives they love. Orthopaedics gives him the opportunity to help patients maintain an active and healthy life.

Dr. Sorensen strives to involve his patients in the decision-making process as much as possible by spending time discussing their specific problem as it relates to their situation.

Dr. Sorensen likes to spend his free time with his wife and four kids, who keep him busy. He also enjoys hockey, waterskiing, barefooting, golfing, working out and spending time with his family.
