Nurse Practitioner

Crystal Gruber, APNP, FNP-BC, is an advanced practice nurse at Wisconsin River Orthopaedics, serving patients in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. She holds a certification in family practice from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Crystal has been a practicing nurse since 1997, with 12 years spent in the emergency department before going back to school to finish her nurse practitioner degree. She has been a family practice nurse practitioner since 2014 and has specialized in orthopaedics since January 2016.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay and her Master of Science in nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. Crystal is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses, American Nurses Association, and Wisconsin Nurses Association.

Crystal chose this field because she loves being able to help people and provide treatments that allow them to do the things that they want to do. She enjoys building relationships with her patients and watching them recover and return to the activities that they love.

Her goal is to discuss treatment options with her patients and come up with a treatment plan that they agree with. She strives to improve the quality of life for her patients, whether this is helping them recover from an injury or treating them for an ongoing medical problem. Crystal always listens to her patients, helps to educate them on their injury or medical condition, and collaborates on a treatment plan that meets their needs.

The most important thing in Crystal’s life is her family, and she cherishes the time that she spends with them. She loves going to local sporting events and traveling with her daughters to their sporting tournaments on the weekends.
