Dr. Tyler Sorensen, DPM, FACFAS, is a board‑certified Foot and Ankle Surgeon serving individuals and families across Central Wisconsin. A Wisconsin native, he brings advanced surgical skill, compassionate care, and a passion for helping patients move better and enjoy active lives.

He completed his undergraduate degree at Bethel University, where he played collegiate hockey and developed a strong interest in sports medicine and biomechanics. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, then completed a rigorous three‑year surgical residency at Regions Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. To further refine his expertise, Dr. Sorensen completed a Fellowship in complex Foot & Ankle reconstruction at the esteemed Weil Foot & Ankle Institute, receiving specialized training in advanced reconstructive surgery, trauma, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and total ankle replacement.

Dr. Sorensen treats a broad range of foot and ankle conditions, including bunion and hammertoe deformities, flatfoot, Achilles tendon disorders, ankle instability, plantar fasciitis, foot and ankle arthritis, and sports injuries. His particular focus on minimally invasive surgery and total ankle replacements offers patients smaller incisions, quicker recovery, and superior long-term outcomes.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, has authored several peer‑reviewed journal articles, and remains actively involved in research and surgical education.

Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Sorensen is an avid outdoor enthusiast—he loves hockey, waterskiing, and spending time exploring Wisconsin's lakes and trails. He and his wonderful wife are raising four energetic children, and their family enjoys every season in the Badger State.
